![]() DPA has always been, and will always be, a "no membership" group. We do not consider ourselves exclusive and we welcome everyone. That said, let me also state that there are "gray" areas. When we have mailed newsletters, had dinners or other get-togethers, there has always been the task of making a list of friends to include in these things. This was always an uncomfortable process due to the possibility of inadvertently leaving someone out (or including someone who really wasn't interested). Creating this site has brought up many of the same issues. There will undoubtedly be DPA "members" who show up to browse the site and can't find anything about themselves. There may be others who don't know or care what DPA is (or would like to forget) and find things that include them. The bottom line is this: if there is something about the site that bothers you, please let me know. The contents of this site are meant for enjoyment, and there are absolutely no intentions to hurt anyone's feelings with that content (or lack thereof). I took no pictures while I was in college. All of the photos found here were supplied to me by others. If you are disappointed not to find any mention of yourself here, then I apologize. I'm posting almost everything I can find. I've sprinkled a few commercial logos (or variations of such) throughout the site. This is a throwback to a dorm room decoration technique that I used frequently while in college. Cutting up movie posters and magazine advertisements in order to use a word written in a special or recognizable way was commonplace. The logo for the movie "Switch" was glued to the wall by the light switch. A cardboard promo for Roger Waters' "The Wall" album was strategically placed amongst several plain-looking bricks on the wall. Nothing incredibly original, but I did have a theme (or perhaps just a motif) going. My point is, there are no intentions of any copyright infringements. In most cases, they are advertisements more than anything else. Nonetheless, if there are actually any company suits that dislike something they see here, (you know the drill) let me know. I'll make it right. I'm trying to be as politically correct as I can, ok? |

I don't particularly like the term "webmaster," but if that is the term that refers to the person who created and maintains this place, then that's me. They call me JockeyPete (the "jockey" part has to do with music, not underwear). If you have anything to say about the site, let me know. In addition to the reasons stated above, I'd like to hear from you for other reasons, too. If you notice any mistakes, especially of the factual or spelling kind, please tell me. I can't stand a messy website. If you have suggestions about features that I can improve, tell me. If you have suggestions about new areas that I can add to the site, tell me. If you have some little known, trivial information about the history of DPA, tell me about it. If you're from a real fraternity or sorority and want to clue me in on some Greek etiquette, please do so. I don't want to come off as rude or ignorant, and I'm always anxious to learn something new. 'Nuff said. E-mail me at: (The opinion board is a good alternative for letting your thoughts and ideas be known.) |
